The Congress criticized the Election Commission for its generic and condescending response to complaints about irregularities in Haryana elections. The EC’s dismissal of allegations as baseless and its defence of EVM battery statuses were highlighted, alongside Congress’s claims of biased treatment compared to actions against BJP leaders. “If the EC’s goal is to strip itself of last vestiges of neutrality, then it’s doing remarkable job at creating that impression,” the Congress said.
