Forest minister Eshwar Khandre has ordered legal action for the illegal axing of trees on 599 acres of forest land in Peenya-Jalahalli for movie shooting. Despite being declared as reserved forest, Hindustan Machine Tools reportedly cleared vegetation and rented out parts of the land, violating forest regulations.
