Following a confrontation during a Joint Parliamentary Committee meeting on the Waqf Bill, TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee defended his actions against BJP’s Abhijit Gangopadhyay. Banerjee clashed with Gangopadhyay, leading to him hurling a glass bottle that injured him and Chairman Jagdambika Pal. Banerjee was suspended for a day for his conduct.
