Justice Sanjiv Khanna is set to become the next Chief Justice of India, taking over from CJI DY Chandrachud on November 11. Justice Khanna, currently serving as a Supreme Court judge, was recommended by CJI Chandrachud and has been officially appointed by the President. Justice Khanna was elevated as a Judge of the Supreme Court on January 18, 2019.
