Protesters in Bangladesh have besieged the presidential palace, demanding President Mohammed Shahabuddin’s resignation. The Anti-discrimination Student Movement led the rally, calling for his removal and a new constitution. The protests, starting in July over job quotas, intensified, leading to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation and the establishment of an interim government headed by Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus.
