There are growing calls for President Mohammed Shahabuddin’s resignation in Bangladesh following his controversial remarks on deposed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Protests led by the Anti-discrimination Student Movement and other groups demand Shahabuddin step down and the dissolution of Hasina’s Awami League party. Shahabuddin claims he has no documentary proof of Hasina’s resignation.
