Foreign secretary Vikram Misri and China’s foreign ninistry spokesperson Lin Jian have not confirmed a bilateral Modi-Xi meet on the BRICS summit sidelines. Despite India reaching an agreement on LAC patrolling, China remains non-committal. Both leaders will attend the BRICS summit in Kazan, with China expressing readiness for stronger BRICS cooperation and global solidarity.
