Nine labourers died when loose soil collapsed at a construction site in Jasalpur village, Mehsana. They were digging for an underground water tank when the incident occurred. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief and announced financial aid for the victims’ families. The local administration is providing assistance to the victims.
