Mushtaq Ahmad Shah Bukhari, former minister and BJP candidate from Surankote, passed away at 75 due to a heart attack. A two-term MLA and recent BJP member, he had joined the party after the Pahari community received Scheduled Tribe status. Bukhari’s death, mourned by political leaders including BJP president Ravinder Raina, leaves a significant void.
