Sonam Wangchuk, along with 173 others advocating for Ladakh’s inclusion in the Sixth Schedule, was detained by Delhi Police at the Singhu border. They began an indefinite hunger strike in protest. Political leaders and supporters condemned the detentions, calling for the protection of Ladakhi cultural identity.
