Mukti Ranjan Ray, the main suspect in the brutal murder of Mahalakshmi in Bengaluru, reportedly committed suicide in Odisha. He had strangled and dismembered her body after an altercation. Mukti’s brother stated that he intended to dispose of the remains later. Police believe he took his own life fearing arrest as they were closing in on him.
