Naming of Arunachal peak by India team makes China livid

A team from India’s National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports scaled an unnamed peak in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang region, naming it after the sixth Dalai Lama. China condemned this act, calling it illegal in what they consider Chinese territory. The expedition faced significant technical challenges to reach the summit.
