Tyre manufacturers are facing profitability issues due to a more than 33% rise in natural rubber prices in the first five months of this fiscal year. CRISIL Market Intelligence & Analytics notes that strong demand and limited supply have pushed domestic prices to Rs 238 per kg, exceeding the decade-long trend, with further price hikes expected beyond fiscal 2025.
