The Bombay high court has invalidated the amended IT Rules targeting fake news about the government, labeling them unconstitutional. Justice AS Chandurkar ruled that these amendments infringe upon Articles 14 and 19 of the Constitution. The rules had introduced Fact-Check Units to monitor online content concerning the government for accuracy.
