Cognizant’s chief marketing officer, Gaurav Chand, has abruptly resigned. This comes after Sarat Varanasi, head of the North America Insurance business unit, also left the firm. Thea Hayden will temporarily fill Chand’s role while a global search for his successor is underway. Cognizant is concurrently executing a $400 million cost-cutting program called NextGen.
