India abstained from voting on a UN General Assembly resolution calling for Israel to end its presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory within 12 months. The resolution was adopted with strong support: 124 votes in favor, 14 against, and 43 abstentions. It criticizes Israel’s violations of international law and their impact on regional peace.
