Intel is transforming its foundry business into an independent subsidiary to enhance competitiveness in the semiconductor sector. CEO Pat Gelsinger revealed a significant agreement with AWS, while pausing new chip plant constructions in Germany and Poland. Intel will also divest part of its stake in Altera and significantly reduce its global real estate holdings.
