Commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal suggested creating a new township for startups to foster an ecosystem for entrepreneurs, incubators, and innovators. He proposed collaborating with NICDC on this initiative. The announcement came during the launch of the Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR) portal, aiming to support ideas and initiatives in India.
