International air travel between India and the rest of the world has seen a significant rise in direct flights. In 2023, India’s international air traffic neared pre-Covid levels with more passengers opting for non-stop journeys. Indian hubs gained indirect passengers as Middle Eastern hubs lost traffic. Indian airlines introduced many new international routes.
