In Yadgir district of Karnataka, fifty Dalit families are reportedly enduring a social boycott after a minor girl’s parents filed sexual assault charges against an upper caste man. Following the man’s arrest, village leaders imposed the boycott. Authorities are currently mediating to resolve the issue and prevent further ostracism.
