China opted out of the ‘Blueprint for Action’ agreement aimed at banning AI from controlling nuclear weapons. The non-binding agreement was adopted at the REAIM summit in Seoul with over 100 countries present. It stresses human control over nuclear actions and acknowledges the need for further discussions on military AI policies. Russia was excluded due to its Ukraine invasion.
