India has witnessed one of its wettest monsoon seasons in 30 years, with July and August rainfall significantly exceeding long-term averages and benefiting kharif-crop sowing. The enhanced rainfall is attributed to favorable MJO conditions and cooler Pacific ocean temperatures. Weather forecasts indicate continued favorable monsoon conditions, promising further benefits to agriculture and soil moisture.
