The NDA secured a majority in the Rajya Sabha for the first time since 2014, winning 11 of 12 bypoll seats. With 96 BJP seats and support from allies, six nominated, and two independent members, NDA has a total of 119 seats. This enables them to pass legislation without needing non-NDA, non-UPA parties’ support.
