BJP’s national president JP Nadda criticized the Mamata Banerjee government for allegedly supporting “rapists and criminals” after a rally by a student outfit turned violent in Kolkata. The students were protesting against the rape and murder of a doctor. TMC leader Kunal Ghosh accused BJP members of inciting violence to tarnish Mamata’s image.
