Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a manufacturing mission to develop a domestic cleantech ecosystem and reduce reliance on China’s supply chain. The Budget also waived customs duty on critical minerals and increased the renewable energy ministry’s allocation by 53% to boost support for clean energy components.
