Foxconn invested around Rs 1,200 crore in its Indian subsidiary in Karnataka. With Foxconn’s Singapore arm acquiring over 120 crore shares, this unit will become the second-largest plant after China’s unit, creating 40,000 jobs. Future plans include exploring other sectors and setting up a substantial manufacturing plant near DoddaBallapur generating employment opportunities.
