Delhi’s narcotics officials confiscated 3.8kg of mescaline valued at Rs 15-20 crore from a Lagos-based woman. The drug, sourced from the peyote cactus in Mexico, recently entered the local party circuit. Investigations linked its production to clandestine labs in Mexico. Historically, mescaline had limited presence in India.
