India has refuted claims from Bangladesh that the flooding in eastern districts was due to the opening of Dumbur dam in Tripura. Indian authorities emphasized the need for mutual cooperation on cross-border rivers and cited heavy rainfall as the primary cause. The floods have affected over 1.7 million people in both countries.
