A 30-year-old mentally unstable man, Zaid, who had been chained for nearly seven years near Khajrana police station in Indore, was rescued by an NGO. The rescue operation was complicated by his mother’s panic attack. Despite challenges, the team freed him and took him to a mental hospital for treatment.
