Ten opposition members were suspended from a JPC meeting on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill for a day after accusing the panel head, Jagdambika Pal, of changing meeting dates arbitrarily. They demanded the final session be postponed to Jan 30-31. A confrontation ensued, overshadowing Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’s participation. BJP accused the opposition of delaying tactics.
