Commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday criticized large e-commerce players, including Amazon, for engaging in predatory pricing to expand market share and violating FDI rules. He claimed that Amazon was disguising fund infusions as investments to cover losses. Current FDI laws prohibit foreign-owned entities from direct consumer sales and inventory holding.
