Odisha state government has announced a Rs 20,000 monthly pension for individuals imprisoned during the Emergency of 1975-77, covering over 300 eligible persons. Medical expenses for detainees will also be covered. Beneficiaries must apply and document their eligibility; misconduct or fraudulent claims will result in benefit withdrawal and prosecution.
