Chhattisgarh deputy CM Vijay Sharma announced the formation of an 11-member SIT to investigate the murder of Bastar journalist Mukesh Chandrakar. Three arrests have been made, but the prime suspect, Congress leader Suresh Chandrakar, remains at large. The murder is linked to a news report on corruption in road construction.
