Karnataka governor Thaawarchand Gehlot approved the prosecution of CM Siddaramaiah concerning the Mysuru Urban Development Authority site allotment scandal. Social activist TJ Abraham had petitioned for this. The controversy centers around land allotted to Siddaramaiah’s wife under the 50:50 scheme. The CM had previously expressed confidence that the governor would dismiss the petition.
