Kerala’s alcohol and lottery ticket sales generated Rs 31,618.12 crore in the 2023-24 financial year, accounting for one-fourth of the state’s total revenue. Alcohol sales contributed Rs 19,088.86 crore, while lottery sales brought in Rs 12,529.26 crore, highlighting their significant role in funding public services and infrastructure projects.
