Former Karnataka Chief Minister SM Krishna, who passed away at 92, considered John F. Kennedy his political guru. As a law student, Krishna campaigned for Kennedy in 1960. Kennedy, upon winning, sent a thank-you note acknowledging Krishna’s support. Karnataka has declared a three-day state mourning period to honor Krishna.
