Eight people were killed and 40 injured when a double-decker bus collided with a tanker on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Kannauj district on Friday. The bus, traveling from Lucknow to Delhi, reportedly hit the tanker watering plants along the divider. UP minister Swatantra Dev Singh, present at the scene, aided rescue efforts.
