A case has been registered against two gynaecologists and two diagnostic lab doctors for alleged negligence in failing to detect deformities in a newborn from Alappuzha. The health minister has ordered a special investigation following complaints from the baby’s parents. An expert panel has been formed after a preliminary district-level inquiry.
