The Calcutta High Court ordered a CBI investigation into the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The police were instructed to hand over all relevant documents. The trainee’s parents and multiple PILs sought a court-monitored probe. Nationwide, resident doctors protested, leading to disruptions in services.
