BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde was caught in a controversy when BVA supporters allegedly found him with cash at a Virar hotel after election campaigning ended. They accused him of distributing money and possessing a large sum. BVA leader Hitendra Thakur questioned Tawde’s presence in the constituency and demanded an investigation into the alleged violation of the election code.
