Taiwanese chip design giant MediaTek is expanding its presence in India, driven by the country’s booming smartphone market and government initiatives to boost local semiconductor production. The company, which recently surpassed Qualcomm in the Indian market, plans to hire more engineers and designers to support its growth in smartphones and other sectors like automobiles, computing, and IoT.
