Following a surge of violence in Manipur, including 13 fatalities since November 7, the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs has deployed 2,500 additional paramilitary personnel to the state. This increases the total central armed police forces deployment to 29,000, bolstering the existing security presence of the Army and Assam Rifles.
