India’s market regulator, Sebi, proposes lowering the minimum investment for angel funds to Rs 10 lakh from Rs 25 lakh, while increasing the maximum limit to Rs 25 crore from Rs 10 crore. The regulator aims to simplify fundraising, enhance disclosures, and provide clearer operational guidelines for angel funds, a crucial funding source for startups.
