In Davanagere, Channagiri police arrested Mohammad Niyaz, Mohammad Gauspeer, Chand Basha, Inayat Ullah, Dastagir, and Rasool TR for allegedly attacking Shabina Banu after a video of the assault went viral. The arrests followed Shabina Banu’s complaint regarding the incident that occurred after her husband disapproved of a male friend visiting her relative. The investigation, led by CPI Ravish, is ongoing.
