The ministry of external affairs emphasized the need for a fair trial for Hindus, including Iskcon priest Chinmoy Krishna Das, who were arrested in Bangladesh. Das’s bail request was denied by a Chittagong court following charges of sedition related to a flag incident at Laldighi Maidan.
