Congress has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court opposing the recent amendments to the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961. Senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh accused the Election Commission of making changes unilaterally without public consultation. These amendments includes restrict public access to specific electronic documents to prevent misuse.
