A joint parliamentary committee (JPC) of 39 members, chaired by P.P. Chaudhary, will scrutinize the ‘one nation, one election’ bills. The committee, comprising members from various parties, including 22 from NDA and 15 from the opposition, will examine the proposed mechanism for simultaneous polls and submit its report by the next session’s final week.
