Global tech leaders Google and Meta are investing heavily in submarine fibre cables to India, challenging domestic data providers Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Tata Communications. Google plans to introduce the Blue-Raman Submarine Cable System in 2025, while Meta’s $10 billion subsea project aims to enhance data transmission capacities.
