A three-year-old Royal Bengal Tigress in Assam, India, was brutally attacked by villagers after it strayed from its flooded habitat. The tigress, which had not harmed anyone, sustained severe injuries, including potential blindness. Forest officials rescued the animal and are treating it, but rehabilitation to the wild is uncertain. Authorities are investigating the incident and pursuing those responsible.
