A new SEBI study has found that royalty payments made by listed Indian companies to related parties have more than doubled in the last decade, raising concerns about potential financial irregularities. The study analyzed 233 companies and found that in many cases, royalty payments exceeded dividends paid to shareholders, with limited transparency and justification for these payments.
